GBE on my STE ?

Hi there,

I know Lonny is often roaming on this forum, so I take my chance.
I'm using GBE with Aranym, and that's definitely great to have my programs compiled so quickly.
Nervetheless, I tried to use GBE on my 4megs 1040 STE, everything seems to work fine, excepted that I can't Run the program.
I tried both interpreters, but it didn't work.
I assume it is due to the single-tasking nature of TOS, isn't it ?
As far as I understand, the interpreter is launched as an external thread and then, clicking on the "Run" button is ineffective when used in a single-tasking environment ?
So, is there a trick, or should I try with MINT00 or Geneva, or one of the like ?

Yes, that is correct. It requires multi-tasking. I never tried with Geneva. I developed it with MiNT and N.Aes.

On the STE you can still use the old editor - but you can replace the library, the compiler and the linker with Lonny's versions. Worked very nicely for me!
